MATAPOS lumabas sa media ang iba’t ibang reklamo ng iregularidad laban sa kompanyang Property Company of Friends, Inc. o PRO-FRIENDS, isang kongresista mula sa Visayan Bloc sa Kamara ang naulinigang nakatakdang mag-privilege speech at magpapatawag ng imbestigasyon “in aid of legislation” para huwag na umanong maulit ang multi-bilyong iskandalong katulad ng nangyari sa Globe Asiatique ni Delfin Lee.
“The irregularities should be looked into and the personalities concerned brought to justice,” pahayag ng kongresista. “This is an unwanted phenomenon in the real estate industry that should be addressed once and for all, otherwise this kind of practice in the industry aimed at victimizing OFWs and their families, as well as our lowly workers, will just keep on repeating and replicating itself.”
Bukod sa kaliwa’t kanang reklamo laban sa kompanya, kamakailan ay umalingawngaw rin sa media ang pagkatalo ng PRO-FRIENDS sa isang kaso na kinakitaan umano ng iregularidad ng piskalya kaya isang prosekyutor ang nagdesisyon na itaas na sa korte ang paghahabla sa kompanyang ito.
Sa resolusyon noong Hunyo 14, 2014, sinabi ni Trece Martires City Prosecutor Crisostomo A. Dapio, Jr. na sa kasong isinampa laban sa Property Company of Friends, Inc. (PRO-FRIENDS) ng isang buyer, may merito at basehan umano ang kaso. “There appears to exist reasonable ground to engender a well founded belief that the crime charged has been committed and that herein respondents are probably guilty thereof,” saad nito.
Ang kaso ay nag-ugat sa reklamo na isinampa ni Dr. Vernon A. Ceballos laban sa mga miyembro ng board of directors at pawang officers ng PRO-FRIENDS.
Sinabi ni Ceballos sa kanyang sinumpaang pahayag na nakapagbayad siya sa PRO-FRIENDS ng P1,947,916.02 para sa isang property sa Kawit, Cavite subalit ang nasabing kompanya ay hindi ipinarehistro ang Contract to Sell sa Kawit Register of Deeds na nasa Trece Martires.

Balena, Client Relations Officer; at Girlie B. Seco, OIC-Realty Services Division.
