LAST year’s NBA MVP Kevin Durant had a bone graft surgery Tuesday to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot.
The Oklahoma City Thunder forward will be sidelined for the rest of the season and is expected to resume basketball activities in four to six months.
In 27 games this season, Durant averaged 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
With Durant out, Russell Westbrook became a nightly triple-double threat and joined the MVP discussion alongside favorites James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and four-time winner LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Noli Cruz
