Mananatili ang kontrobersiyal na Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) habang hindi pa ito idinedeklarang ilegal ng
Korte Suprema. Ito ang paninindigan ng Malacañang sa kabila ng mga panawagang alisin na ang DAP na ginagamit umano ng administrasyong Aquino upang palakasin ang ekonomiya.
“As we’ve mentioned in the past, the Disbursement Acceleration Program is nothing but the use of realigned savings for other purposes that have already been laid out in the General Appropriations Act,” sinabi ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte.
“And given that it’s being challenged already in the Supreme Court, it will be best for us to wait for the pronouncement or any decision of the Supreme Court on this,” dagdag niya. Ito ay sa kabila ng iginigiit ni Sen. JV Ejercito ang pagtigil sa paggamit ng DAP dahil ito at ang kontrobersiyal na Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) ay kapwa itinuturing na “pork barrel” na ginagawang gatasan ng mga tiwaling opisyal ng pamahalaan. – Genalyn D.
