Ipinanukalang bigyan ng angkop na awtoridad ang mga security guard na katulad ng mga pulis.
Naghain ng panukala si Rep. Gwendolyn Garcia (3rd District, Cebu) na kikilala sa papel ng isang security guard na ang tungkulin ay halos katulad ng isang pulis o kaya ay ng isang close-in body guard ng matataas na pinuno ng bayan.
“Recognizing the importance of the role of security guards who are tasked with the duty of protecting and securing the life and property of their employers and people who may happen to be in their area of responsibility,” ani Garcia. – Bert de Guzman
