Nagwagi ang Makati City Police laban sa pitong himpilan ng pulisya sa unang Southern Police District (SPD) Tactical Olympics Competition sa SPD Grandstand sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City noong Miyerkules.
Pangalawa naman ang Parañaque City Police, kasunod ang Taguig City Police.
Kalahok sa kompetisyon ang Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD), Search and Rescue (SAR) Team, Special Reaction Unit (SRU) at Investigation Team mula sa iba’t ibang himpilan ng pulisya.
Sa category level, nanguna ang Pateros Police sa Disaster Preparedness Response habang ang Parañaque CPS sa Comprehensive Crime Scene Processing. Samantala, nasungkit ng Makati CPS ang pinakamataas na rating sa Special Reaction at Bomb Counter Measures Capability.
Ang naturang proyekto ay isinulong ng SPD sa ilalim ng liderato ni Chief Supt. Jose Erwin Villacorte para patalasin ang kaalaman at kakayahan ng mga pulis laban sa kriminalidad.
“In addition, as an avenue to put into practice the lesson learned from past experiences and to improve further what needs to be improved and developed. This is also a process of genuine partnership/ camaraderie between the different actors and sectors that are all acting to achieve a common goal,” ayon sa SPD.
Naging tagumpay ang aktibidad sa aktibong suporta at tulong ng Philippine Bomb Data Center para sa Bomb Squad Scenario, Special Action Force sa Special Reaction Scenario, NCRPO-Regional Public Safety Battalion ng Disaster Preparedness Scenario, at PNP Crime Laboratory-SOCO sa Comprehensive Crime Scene Processing. – Bella Gamotea
