Kailangang obligahin ang lahat ng ahensiya ng pamahalaan na ilagay ang blood type ng may-ari ng lahat ng dokumentong iniisyu ng gobyerno upang maging mabilis ang pagaksiyon o transfusion response kapag nagkaroon ng aksidente o kaya ay ng kalamidad.
Sinabi ni Rep. Susan Yap (2nd District, Tarlac) na karamihan sa mga Pilipino ay hindi batid ang tipo ng kanilang dugo o blood type kung kaya kapag nagkaroon ng aksidente, kalamidad o ano mang masamang pangyayari, hindi malaman ng mga doctor kung anong uri o tipo ng dugo ang dapat na isalin sa kanila.
“Accidents and other medical emergency situations happen to everyone which results in excessive blood loss, immediate matching of the correct blood type may be transfused in order to save the life of the victim. Knowledge of one’s blood type is important for both the recipient and the donor for the immediate transfusion of the appropriate blood,” ani Yap.
“The measure to be known as the “Blood Type Identification Act of 2013,” covers government-issued identification documents such as certificate of live birth, community tax certificate issued by the Local Treasurer’s Office, driver’s licenses, professional licenses issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), firearms licenses, Social Security System (SSS) cards, Government Service Insurance System.” – Bert de Guzman
