INAMIN ni Taylor Swift na “chaos breaks loose” nang makipag-date siya sa mga sikat.
Nagkaroon ng high-profile romances ang country pop star sa hunks na sina Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner at John Mayer. Bagamat walang tumagal sa mga relasyong ito, hindi isinasara ni Taylor ang posibilidad na celebrity pa rin ang makakarelasyon niya sa hinaharap.
“You can’t say, ‘I’m never gonna date a high-profile person in the arts!’ But whoever I date, famous or not – whether I ever date again! – all chaos will break loose,” aniya sa latest issue ng Glamour magazine sa UK.
“With fabrication and frantic obsession and who likes who more and how it ended. But right now is easy because I’m single and happy, and it’s very relaxing.”
Naging sentro si Taylor ng online abuse ng overzealous fans ng One Direction nang panandalian niyang makarelasyon si Harry. Natuto ang 23-anyos na iwasan ang mga negatibong pag-iisip sa kanyang karera at love life.
“I never read one hateful thing said about me by some 12 year-old. So I got to live an actual life. And I’ve kept that mentality. “Just because there’s a hurricane going on around you doesn’t mean you have to open the window and look at it,” aniya. “You can be obsessed with the bad things people say and the good things, either way you’re obsessed with yourself and I’m not – you can become unhinged so easily… So I distance myself, because I feel everything.
“The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behavior. The rest? If I focused on it, that would lead to insanity.”
Ibinunyag din ni Taylor na hinahanap pa rin niya ang tamang lalaki. Hindi pa nakikita ng singer-songwriter ang taong dapat niyang makarelasyon.
“I’ve seen my friends take someone back after they’ve cheated because they fit perfectly. But I don’t know, because I’ve never had a perfect fit with someone,” kumpisal niya.
“Here’s what I’ve learned about deal-breakers. If you have enough natural chemistry with someone, you overlook every single thing that you said would break the deal.”
Nagmuni-muni rin si Taylor sa pressures ng pagiging role model sa mga batang fans. Iginiit niyang unreasonable na asahan ang Hollywood stars na maging perfect sa lahat ng oras.
“There’s room for role models who make mistakes…” katwiran niya. “And if I can say, ‘Yeah, I’ve taken a few hits over the years and I’m still going, I’m still happy,’ maybe that’s an example.
