“We strongly appeal for the inclusion of the national women’s volleyball team which we feel in the association as the most credible team to be sent to the SEA Games,” sinabi ni Camangian na dumalo sa POC executive board meeting sa PhilSports Arena.
“We have talk to Philippines chef de mission Col. Jeff Tamayo and we also sent a letter to the Philippine Olympic Committee on the condition and justification for the inclusion of the team to the SEA Games,” pahayag pa ni Camangian.
Also, a lot of supporters of Philippine volleyball wanted to see a team in SEA Games so we hope that the POC and PSC will give them the chance to prove themselves,” giit ni Camangian.
“They (SEA games countries) are hoping to see the Philippines have a team again participating in the international community. Maybe it is because of our traits na very friendly hindi lang in our games kundi gusto nila tayo makalaro. Also, we have enough time to train. We now have available players, the team is available, it is ready and they are really wanting to represent the country,” ayon sa dating national player na si Camangian.
“Our national players are really wanting to gain lost honor and prestige in the volleyball community. Remember, we were once powerhouse in the region but medyo matagal nga na hindi tayo nakasali kaya nawala tayo sa rankings,” dagdag pa ni Camangian. – Angie Oredo
