“Political harassment is not and will never be a hallmark of the Aquino Administration and the Liberal Party. Any innuendos from any party claiming that the administration and the party had a hand in a concerted effort to discredit certain personalities, and/or cause the filing of cases against the same for the alleged misuse of their Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) is utterly baseless and false,” pahayag ni Sarmiento noong Sabado.
“First, it is open knowledge that the names that surfaced in this multibillion PDAF controversy was a result of the special audit report made by the Commission on Audit in 2007-2009 under the watch of then COA Chair Reynaldo Villar, and was continued only by the incumbent Chair Ma. Gracia Pulido-Tan when she assumed the post in 2011,” sabi ni Sarmiento. – Bert de Guzman
