Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang sa National Teachers’ Month, inilunsad ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), sa pamamagitan ng Department of Education-Bureau of Elementary Education (DepEd-BEE) ang 2013 Guro ng PAG-ASA o Gantimpala para sa Ulirang Pagtuturo ng Pag-iimpok at Araling Pansalapi.
Ito, ayon kay Education Secretary Armin A. Luistro, FSC, ay pagkilala sa dedikasyon ng mga nagtuturo sa kahalagahan ng pagtitipid at pagiimpok ng pera.
“It’s never too early to teach our young students the importance of money and the hard work that goes into saving it. That is why I am persuading our school heads to choose teachers who have displayed devotion in helping our students understand financial responsibility, the significance and value of money,” sabi ni Luistro.
Binanggit ng kalihim na tatanggapin na ang mga nominasyon ng principal o school head na gumagamit ng Financial Education Teaching Guide sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP), Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan (EPP) at Araling Panlipunan.
Magtatapos ito sa Oktubre 4 at ang awarding ay sa Enero 2014. – Mac Cabreros
