PINABULAANAN ng Malakanyang na sila ang nag-utos sa Criminal Investigation Division Group (CIDG) sa pagsasaayos ng magiging kulungan nina Senador Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada at Ramon Revilla, Jr. na sinampahan ng kasong plunder sa Sandiganbayan.
“I don’t think so. I remember them saying that it coincided with the current issues that they were fixing up—I think some of their facilities. But you know, really, when it comes to detention, it’s the court that determines where the place will be, not the Executive,” ayon kay Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte.
Bahala naman na aniya ang Sandiganbayan kung pagsasama-samahin sa regular na kulungan ang mga akusado sa plunder case.
Sa ulat, sinabi ni PNP Criminal Investigation and Detention Group (CIDG) Chief Dir. Benjamin Magalong na nakahanda na ang headquarters service at mayroon nang lugar sa Custodial Center kung saan dadalhin ang tatlong senador.
Binigyang-diin ni Magalong na ang pasilidad ay ginawa talaga para kina Senador Enrile, Estrada at Revilla.
“Meron talagang ginawa para sa kanila,” ani Magalong.
