IDINEKLARA nang Archdiocesan shrine at pormal na ipoproklama sa Linggo ang Espiritu Santo Parish, Tayuman, Sta. Cruz, Maynila.
Ayon sa Manila Archdiocese, pangungunahan ni Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle ang deklarasyon bilang shrine sa Linggo, alas-8:00 ng umaga.
Ang naturang simbahan ay pormal na kikilalanin bilang Archdiocesan Shrine of the Holy Spirit.
“As a shrine, the Holy Spirit Shrine will promote and encourage devotion to the Holy Spirit not only within the community but also within the archdiocese and other dioceses,” ayon sa archdiocese.
Isa si Parish priest Msgr. Alberto Salonga sa nagpetisyon na gawing shrine ang naturang simbahan na itinatag noong Disyembre 19, 1926.
Ang Espiritu Santo parish ay nasa ilalim ng administrasyon ng Divine Word Fathers (SVD).
