Hirit ni Joma dinedma, peace talks, muna – Malakanyang

KAILANGAN munang may mangyari sa peace talks sa pagitan ng pamahalaan at komunistang grupong CPP-NPA-NDF bago pa mapagtuunan ng pansin ang hirit ni Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chair Jose Maria Sison na palayain ang mag-asawang Tiamzon.

Ang mag-asawang Benito at Wilma Tiamzon ay inaresto ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police personnel sa Bgy. Zaragoza sa Aloguinsan, Cebu noong nakaraang Marso dahil sa kasong kriminal na ipinagharap laban sa mga ito.

So, there is a pending criminal case before or against Mr. Tiamzon. Number two, we have…Again, our emphasis is always — walang preconditions when it comes to talks. We have said that before. At gaya aniya ng palaging sinasabi ni Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles na: “What we want to do first?” “Let’s have a talk.” “Let’s resume the talk first and let’s make sure the talks are doable and time-bound so that we will avoid the experience of the past.”

“So, let’s see first if we can resume the talks and then let’s make sure the talks are doable and time-bound before we discuss anything else,” pahayag ng opisyal.

Samantala, wala pa ring official word mula kay Pangulong Aquino hinggil sa posibilidad na pag-resume ng usapan sa pagitan ng dalawang panig. KRIS JOSE
