Disappointed dahil may bahid na naman ng politika ang awards night!

WHILE some of the Metro Manila Film Festival winners are still celebrating their taste of victory from the recently concluded MMFF awards night, there are a few people from the industry who are very much disappointed with the result, especially those people coming from the camp of the movie Magnum 357 of Gov. ER Ejercito.

“Walang duda, may bahid na naman ng politika ang awards night na ‘yan kaya mahirap nang magtiwala. Nakagugulat talaga ang mga nagwagi pero wala tayong magagawa dahil bulok talaga ang sistema,” pronounced a die-hard supporter of ER Ejercito.

But of course, you cannot really please everybody.

Anyway, here are the partial result of the MMFF 2014 Awards Night was held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City:

Best Picture- “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” (1st)

Best Director – Dan Villegas, “English Only, Please”

Best Actress – Jennylyn Mercado, “English Only, Please”

Best Actor – Derek Ramsay, “English Only, Please”

Best Supporting Actress – Lotlot de Leon, “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2″

Best Supporting Actor – Joey Marquez, “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2″

Best Child Performer – Ryzza Mae Dizon, “My Big Bossing”

Best Float – “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”

Youth Choice Award – “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”

Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award – “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”

FPJ Memorial Award of Excellence – “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”

Face of the Night – Nadine Lustre
