MAGKIKITA para sa basketball clinic sa November 4 ang dalawang sikat sa larangan ng basketball, ito’y sina Philippine Basketball Association, (PBA) two-time grandslam coach Tim Cone at former 11-time National Basketball Association, (NBA) All-Star Allen Iverson.
Ang nasabing clinic na gaganapin sa Bgy. Holy Spirit sa Quezon City sa alas-tres ng hapon ang isa sa mga activities lined up ni Iverson sa pagbisita niya dito sa Pilipinas.
Magkakaroon ng charity basketball na may temang “All In” sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Nobyembre 5 kung saan ay suportado ito ng PCWorx.
“I’m so honored to work with one of the true legends of the NBA. Just his mere presence will excite everyone,” saad ng premyadong coach ng San Mig Coffee na si Cone.
“Allen impacted a whole generation with his style and flair. Young people copied the way he played and copied the clothes he wore. He was also one of the great scorers in NBA history despite his height and frame, and he often carried teams on his back to the playoffs. He was a true winner on and off the court,” dagdag pa ni Cone.
Para kay Iverson na pumasok sa NBA noong 1996 ay atat na itong ituro ang kanyang talento sa basketball para sa mga batang Pilipino.
“My Philippine agent, Sheryl Reyes, has told me about coach Tim and how he wrote history by winning championships in the PBA. I know how passionate and knowledgeable he is about the game, and us working together to teach Filipinos about the sport excites me a lot,” ayon kay Iverson sa isang phone interview.
Ang clinic ay lilimitahan lang sa edad 10-15 years old na may fee na P2,500 at para sa mga interesado ay tumawag lang sa (02) 575-1520 para sa ibang detalye.
Bukod kay Cone, ang ibang kilalang PBA players na dadalo para samahan si Iverson ay sina Harvey Carey ng Talk N’ Text, former MVP Willie Miller ng Barako Bull, Sol Mercado at Chris Ross ng San Miguel Beer at Jayjay Helterbrand ng Bgy. Ginebra San Miguel.
