Space rocket sumabog sa Virginia

SUMABOG habang nasa himpapawid ang unmanned space rockets sa Virginia.

Kinumpirma ng National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) na ang sumabog ay isang Orbital science corps Antares Rocket at Cygnus cargo spacecraft na na magdadala sana ng mga supplies at experiments sa international space station.

Ayon kay Jay Bolden, wala naman silang nakitang may problema sa paglipad at maswerte ring walang nasawi sa nasabing pagsabog.

NAKAGUGULAT ang response ng mga moviegoers sa pelikula ni John Lloyd Cruz na The Trial na kasalukuyang dinudumog pa rin hanggang ngayon sa mga sinehan kahit na almost one week na itong ipinapalabas.

Hindi kami publicist ng movie at ni minsan nga ay hindi kami naimbitahan makadalo sa presscon at grand presscon ng nasabing movie.

Anyway, last Monday ay nasa Fishermall kami para manood ng sine. Dapat sa Fury kami manonood ng pamilya pero R-16 ang movie kaya sa The Trial na lang kami nagkasya manood dahil na rin sa naririnig namin sa loob ng sinehan na kung saan pinag-uuusapan ang galing at husay na ipinakitang acting ni John Lloyd, atbp kasama sa movie.

True nga pala na maganda ang istorya ng pelikula at nasaksihan ko ang ungol nang pag-iyak ng mga nanonood na karamihan ay mga matatanda at may teenager rin na talagang umiiyak.

Sabi nga ng nakatabi namin sa upuan na isang pamilya rin na nanonood na: “Ang galing ni John Lloyd. Akala mo talagang kulang sa pag-iisip kung umarte.”

Dinig na dinig din namin ang mga reaction ng nakapanood nang palabas na sa sinehan na kung saan puring-puri rin nila ang acting ni Sylvia Sanches sa role na isang tomboy na ina ni John Lloyd Cruz at ang gumanap na tatay ng actor na si Vince na isang bakla sa tunay na buhay sa role na father ni Loydie. Hindi rin nagpahuli sa pag-arte si Richard Gomez na gumaganap na abogado na siyang tumulong sa kinakaharap na rape case ni Loydie.

Medyo kulang pa raw or hilaw sa drama scene si Jessy Mendiola na siyang nag-akusang ni-rape siya ni Loydie. Sabi pa ng grupo ng matatanda na hanggang sa paglabas ng sinehan ay nagpapahid ng kanilang luha na: “Pang-Best Actor naman dito si John Lloyd.”

Samantala, bago nagsimula ang pelikula ng The Trial ay ipinakita muna ang trailer ng Moron 5 at Relaks Its Just Pag-ibig. Kung pagbabasehan ang mga reaction ng mga nakasaksi at nakapanood ng trailer ng dalawang bagong local movies, mas may pag-asang kumita pa kahit paano sa takilya ang huli na pinagbibidahan ng anak ni Piolo Pascual na si Iñigo at ng bunsong anak ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada na si Julian. Dinig na dinig namin ang usapan ng pamilya nasa likuran namin na nagsabi at nag-react sa Moron 5 na: “Ano bang pelikula ‘yan!? Puro kalokohan at katarantaduhan na hindi naman nakatutuwa nakakainis lang!

3 todas, 150 nawawala sa landslide sa Sri Lanka

TATLO ang nasawi habang 150 naman ang nawawala makaraang magka-landslide at matabunan ang may 70 bahay bunsod ng ulan sa south-central Sri Lanka.

Ayon kay Disaster Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, 3 km (2 miles) ng lupa ang apektado ng landslide sa Bgy. Haldummulla, 192 km (120 miles) mula sa capital na Colombo.

“So far, three dead bodies have been recovered and more than 150 people are missing,” ayon kay Amaraweera sa isang pribadong television channel.

“Seven lines of houses, which has about 70 houses, 10 shops and three official residences, are hit by the landslide.” MARJORIE DACORO
