APAT ang patay habang 30 ang sugatan makaraang gumuho ang bubong ng isang supermarket sa kabisera ng Latvia sa Riga.
Sinabi ni emergency services spokeswoman Viktorija Sembele na hindi pa tukoy ang sanhi ng aksidente at nagpapatuloy ang rescue efforts sa mga na-trap na biktima.
“There are four victims… rescue efforts will continue through the night but it’s too early to name a cause or say whether there will be more victims or survivors,” ani Sembele.
Isa raw sa mga namatay ang bombero na nagresponde.
Sinabi ni Riga deputy mayor Andris Ameriks na ang trahedya ay posibleng dahil sa pagsabog bagama’t hindi na nagdetalye.
Noong 2011 lang itinayo ang gusali at kamakailan ay sumailalim sa renovation.
