LONDON (AFP)– Nagpaabot si Queen Elizabeth II ng Britain noong Martes na kanyang “heartfelt condolences” sa mga biktima ng bagyong Yolanda.

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of life and devastation caused by the typhoon that hit the Philippines at the weekend,” sabi ng reyna sa mensaheng ipinadala kay Pangulong Benigno S. Aquino III.



“Prince Philip joins me in offering our heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families at this difficult time.

“Our deepest sympathies go out to all those whose lives have been affected.”

Sinabi ng isang tagapagsalita ng Buckingham Palace na mag-aambag ang monarch ng rescue appeal ng Britain, na lumikom na ng £1.5 million ($2.4 million) sa loob ng 15 oras simula nang ito ay ilunsad noong Martes.
