Misuari, dadalo kaya sa OIC meeting?

Naimbitahan si National Moro Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairman Nur Misuari sa 40th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers ng Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC-CFM) sa Conakry, Guinea, Western Africa sa Disyembre 9-11, 2013.

Simula nang itatag ang organisasyon noong dekada ‘70, kabilang sa agenda ng OIC ang “Questions of Muslims in Southern Philippines.”



Ayon sa isang source mula sa MNLF, positibong dadalo si Misuari sa OIC conference.

Subalit ayon kay Prof. Mashur “Max” Ghalib bin Jundam, chairman ng MNLF Education Committee for the Tripartite Review of the 1996 Final Peace Agreement, nananatiling nasa observer status ang MNLF sa OIC at obligadong dumalo si Misuari sa pulong.

“The MNLF seats as an OIC observer and ‘Maas’ (Misuari) is the sole representative of the Bangsamoro people to the OIC,” aniya.

“Hindi ito makukuryente sa information na ito,” ayon kay Jundam, dating dean ng Institute of Islamic Studies sa University of the Philippines.

Si Misuari ay nahaharap sa kasong rebelyon kaugnay ng tatlong linggong stand-off sa Zamboanga City noong Setyembre.

Kasalukuyang pinaghahanap ng pulisya at militar si Misuari matapos magpalabas ang korte ng warrant of arrest laban sa kanya at sa kanyang mga kasama. – Edd K. Usman
