Malaki ang posibilidad na magkaroon na ng trabaho ang may 11.2 milyong Pilipino kapag naging ganap na batas ang isang panukala na bubuo ng ahensiyang tututok nito.



Sa Senate Bill No 1862 ni Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., isinusulong ang pagkakaroon ng isang “inter agency council” na bubuuin ng mga opisyal ng pamahalaan para matugunan ang kawalan ng trabaho.

“Under this bill, an interagency body known as the ‘Inter-Agency Council for the Creation of Jobs’ is hereby established which is administratively attached to the Office of the President,” ayon kay Marcos.

Magsisilbing pangkalahatang mekanismo na gagawa ng mga polisiya, programa, na nakatuon sa pagbuo ng trabaho.

Bubuuin ito ng 15-miyembro na kinabibilangan ng kalihim ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLe) bilang chairman, at miyembro ang mga kalihim ng Trade and Industries, Justice, Finance, Agriculture, and Foreign Affairs; mga administrador ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration at Philippine Overseas Employment Administrations; director general ng National Economic and Development Authority, mga pangulo ng League of Provinces of the Philippines, League of Cities of the Philippines, League of Municipalities of the Philippines..

Nakasaad din sa kanyang panukala na magtatalaga ang Pangulo ng bansa ng kinatawan mula sa Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Employer’s Confederation of the Philippines, at mga kilalang employee’s union.

“Job creation is a multi-faceted endeavor that requires the joint efforts of different agencies to provide effective and holistic employment creation strategies. This will be the answer to the current dismal situation were around 11.2 million Filipinos are unemployed,” ayon kay Marcos.

Kabilang sa mga pwedeng gawin ng ahensiya ay ang magrekomenda ng mga trabaho, bumuo ng istratehiya, para sa chief executives at mga LGU.

Tututulong din ito sa mga LGU na tukuyin ang pwedeng mga trabaho ng kanilang nasasakupan, at magkumbida ng mga mamumuhunan.

“The real challenge now to the government is how to translate the country’s economic gains into employment opportunities for all,” paliwanag ni Marcos.
